Gently rolling, oak-studded hills are the perfect backdrop for John & Rita Grogan's newly established winery and tasting room.
A former Silicon Valley engineer, John has always had a passion for winemaking that came to fruition when he opened Sunlit Oaks Winery in April 2013. He and his wife Rita have transformed their family ranch into a winery, tasting room, and vineyard, producing a variety of remarkable wines that will appeal to anyone.
Sunlit Oaks' goal is to make wine that you, our future friends, will love. So come on out, sip our wide variety of red and white wines, and enjoy the panoramic view that stretches from San Martin to San Juan Bautista. Picnic lunches are encouraged!
We're open from noon to 5 PM on the first and third full weekends of every month. For more information on our Wine Club and the varietals we offer, see "Our Wines" below!

shipping charges will apply
- Options include Red Only, White Only, or mix of Red & White
- Shipped directly to you (must be 21 years of age to receive delivery)
or pickup at our Tasting Room (save on shipping)
Here's how it works: approximately two weeks before a planned shipment, we will notify you via email with descriptions of the wines being shipped along with delivery information. You can either reply to tell us that you want to skip this quarter's delivery, change or add additional or different wines, correct or change payment methods, or tell us your delivery method is changing (from pick up at the Tasting room to shipping or vice versa). No reply means we process your request as originally stated. Simple!
If you'd like to take advantage of these perks, simply complete the member application form. Your first shipment will be sent in the next two weeks. After that, announcements will be for the quarterly shipment months. What could be easier?
